What is software piracy?

Software piracy is the unauthorized copying or distribution of copyrighted software. When you purchase software, you are actually purchasing a license to use it, not the actual software. If you mate more copies of the software than the license permits, you are breaking the law.

Having pirated software is not only a huge financial risk, but is can also open your network to viruses and security threats. Companies must manage their software just as carefully as they would any other aspect of their business . Below are links to tools and resources that can help companies manage their software assets.
